Photos: Rag Picking the Net

This is admittably an eclectic and eccentric collection.  I feel like a ‘rag-picker’, scrounging around to find things that are shiny, and pretty.  Maybe more like a big black crow, hauling  junk away to store on my hard drive.  Baubles and buttons. Shiny things.  A marble.

Here’s this Sunday’s collection.  There is a sort of a common denominator, I started by posting sayings and quotes, but ended up with everything.

One of my all time favs. It speaks of God reaching for me.

Against the flow, baby.

When we come together, we receive from a shared strength, common to every believer.  Connected, we are resilient and strong, and it takes a very great deal to incapacitate us.  It seems that we are organically linked as believers, and that there exists a connection through the work and personality of the Holy Spirit.

That’s how it is with us. There are many of us, but we each are part of the body of Christ, as well as part of one another.  (Romans 12:5)

We must grip the reality that each one has a connection to Jesus AND a connection to each other.  It is not necessarily physical, but it is a real spiritual connection, like plugging into the wall socket.

Blessings for a Blessed Person

Count your blessings everyday

Too often we forget the wonderful blessings that are already ours.  The most precious things are the intangibles.  A child’s hugs and a husband at peace are just a few we can count as ours.

“Surely you have granted him eternal blessings
and made him glad with the joy of your presence.”

Ps. 21:6
