I knew this would eventually come. But I can’t get out of bed, nor muster up any post for today. (Tomorrow doesn’t look good either). Very severe depression has nailed me, and all I want to do is sleep.
Lynn has been quite understanding, bringing me soups and sandwiches. She is a wonder.
Please do pray for me.
ybic, Bryan

My comment disappeared. Over all, I said you are a blessing, your heart is a blessing. Don’t let any evil convince you otherwise. I always treasure what you have to say and I pass it on to family members, young ones, especially, who need to hear it. Be sure your physical health is good because some illnesses can contribute to depression. You are valued and appreciated. You are a force for Good. You are in my prayers as of this minute.

I stop by less often now, since I’ve been feeling a little better, but I do not forget about you. I thank God for you and your willingness to give what you have to help others. Your weakness is your strength. Whatever you do, don’t listen to the Evil One—shut him out. Be sure you are physically OK, just in case bad health is contributing to your depression. I come from a family that has been plagued with depression, and I read what you have to say and try to connect the family to you or pass your advice along to them. I feel so sad that you are suffering so. My prayers are with you. You are a very good person, Bryan. We can’t bear to lose any of our good people. I’ll check back every few days to see how you are. Your heart blesses all of us.

I’m new here. Did a ‘search’ the other day: Jesus loves the mentally ill. And God led me here and I was truly encouraged. And found a pastor I could really trust! And I trust you just the way you are. In this world we’ll have some troubles…but Pastor Bryan let me share back some encouragement to you now!!… Be encouraged because He has overcome this world. Jesus angels protect you and your loving wife through this time.

I’ve been where you are many times. That is often when I feel closest to the Lord. I have prayed for you! May He cover you with His feathers.
Psalm 121 ESV
1
I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
2
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth.
3
He will not let your foot be moved;
he who keeps you will not slumber.
4
Behold, he who keeps Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
5
The Lord is your keeper;
the Lord is your shade on your right hand.
6
The sun shall not strike you by day,
nor the moon by night.
7
The Lord will keep you from all evil;
he will keep your life.
8
The Lord will keep
your going out and your coming in
from this time forth and forevermore.

Dear Bryan, I hurt for you today but want to thank you for your honesty and desire to encourage others no matter what. God has used you in my life in trying to be a better father to my mentally ill son Matthew. You always make me think!
What helps me when I am down is Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy–meditate on these things. This is my post to you kind sir! Walt
