“Then God will come into view,
his arrows flashing like lightning!”
Zechariah 7:14
The Lord is My Archer
Lowering himself, he carefully chooses
The living arrow that he hast made
My life has been polished just for this
Made smooth and sharp by wise hands that see
For this very precise and holy moment
To be fitted– simple notch to taut string.
The strong bow and ready arrow meet
And boldly dispatched with an eye so sure.

I loved this so much, Pastor B! I had just read a devotion in Streams In The Desert, about those of us living in the shadow. The author wanted us to know that we weren’t pushed aside by God. That instead , we were like an arrow in His quiver, tied to His side, oh so close to Him, where He could send us out for His glory at just the right time. God bless you!

This is beautiful, Bryan. You are already a great role model for me. I struggle with OCD, depression, and anxiety. But with meds, prayer, cognitive behavioral therapy, I’m managing to live a productive life. I choose to give Christ my brokenness and my whole heart, so that I can wholly serve Him and He can make me whole. Debbie Deane
